Indoor water use is essential to the health and well-being of families and communities. Denver Water’s core mission is to maintain adequate water supplies for drinking, cooking, bathing, cleaning and personal hygiene.

And, it requires about 40 gallons per person per day.

On average, Denver Water’s single-family residential customers use about 50 gallons per person per day indoors — 10 gallons more than the benchmark for efficient indoor water use of 40 gallons per person per day.
